We asked our network one question…
How effective is your organization at driving non-dues revenue?

And here’s what we found out from 272 association professionals.

55% – We’re looking for new ideas.
11% – Meh.
15% – We’re kicking butt!
19% – Doesn’t apply to me but I’d like to see the results.

Associations were desperate for non-dues ideas and exposure to innovative ideas and products before 2020. If the pandemic taught us anything, I taught us that we have to have more than one source of revenue; we can no longer depend on events. Now that associations are starting to settle from the flurry of changes in the work environment, there is no better time to look at diversifying revenue streams.

What we know is that associations are hungry for new ideas and in search of proven business models. But ironically there is no good place to have a conversation exclusively about new revenue streams and ideas… and that my friends is why we invented the only community of content and events for curious association professionals looking for new and innovative ways to generate non-dues revenue!

What is Non Dues-a-Palooza?

We’re working hard and getting creative as heck to bring together some of the biggest experimenters, leaders of teams that are creating new revenue streams on-the-fly, and companies offering bleeding-edge products and services.

And you know how it is… there’s just something therapeutic about sharing revenue ideas for the future, learning from the successes of others, exploring what new products and services could fit for the next member benefit, and maybe even commiserating a little too — and that my friends is what Non Dues-a-Palooza is all about…

This experience is hosted by the creators of AMS Fest and long-time association community contributors. We are a small but mighty and creative team lead by Teri Carden. We believe in the power of connection and our core values stem from one statement… “You have to take care of the people that take care of you.”
